Photography as an art form is enjoying something of a resurgence recently, and with the wealth of modern technology available there has never been a more exciting time to be a photographer! Professional or amateur, prolific shutter bug or occasional snapper now is most definitely a good time to be peering through the viewfinder at your own particular take on the world! Providing of course you don't mind a little competition... from the thousands of enthusiasts now able to post their own interpretation of 'life through the lens' in an instant on this wonderful World Wide Web!! Take a stroll through the on-line Blogs and community photo sharing sites - it's amazing, always inspiring, often enlightening and the quality of the work is awesome! But don't be overawed, join in, post your stuff - spread your 1/125th of a second for all to see! It has been my joy for more than 40 years (and will be for at least 50 more if I have anything to say about it!) an abiding friend in an often uncertain and challenging world.
